STARKVILLE — A Starkville man has been charged with murder in connection with the Monday shooting death of his uncle.
Kewon Doss, 18, was officially charged Tuesday.
Bond hasn’t been set for Doss, who shared a home at 1816 Stonewood Road with his uncle, 38-year-old Larry Davis.
Doss fled the scene after the shooting. He turned himself in to authorities Monday after a seven-hour manhunt.
Paramedics received a call of shots fired with injuries at 2:22 p.m. and later pronounced Davis dead at the scene. Oktibbeha County Coroner Michael Hunt said Davis suffered a single gunshot wound to the torso.
Chief Deputy Chadd Garnett said he’s unsure what sparked an altercation between Doss and Davis.
