FWIW, the drop-out rate for Oktibbeha schools was 19.7% for 2004-05 9th graders (would-be class of 2008).



The drop out rate is horrible.
I’m sure all that bond money we’re supplying will do away with the drop out rate. You know, all the new construction and nifty signs go a long way toward education. Kinda like all that bond money going for parking lots and bigger rooms at OCH is going to benefit health care. Sure am glad to see our tax dollars hard at work!
Two schools at risk of failing? Where is the press on this in the Starkville Daily News? Probably as much chance of seeing that as getting Brian Hawkins to right a negative review on the next community theater production.
Of course, that should have been “write a negative review” . . .
