The Wiseman era started last night with a couple of interesting moves.
The first is the approval of Sandra Sistrunk as Vice Mayor. It appears that the New Kids on the Block (Dumas, Sistrunk, Carver and Parker) served notice that they had their own opinions and priorities by passing over both Perkins and Corey in the VM sweepstakes.
The three month interim rehiring of all departments head was a good move. That gives a valid evaluation period.
Lynn Lane is going to be a little harder. Do you throw what money you have already put in totally away by stopping everything? Do you gamble on getting MODT grants in the future and continue with the original intent?
Lynn Lane and the Parks commission issue will be the first true tests of this group.
