Another week, another bond issue.
BOA will discuss the road bond issue at next Tuesday’s meeting as a public forum.
They have already approved the millage increase, now they want to spend it by getting a partial lump sum upfront to proceed on road repair. It’s kinda like one of those commercials you see late nights about getting your settlement or annuity paid out upfront, except the taxpayers foot the bill.
This is a needed bond issue (unlike the OCH one) as our roads haven’t kept up with our growth. This should have been taken care of 10 years ago when city leaders tried to pass a comprehensive road improvement bond issue. BTW, I’m still waiting on Vic Zitta’s “better plan.” (I guess its hard to implement your “better plan” when your elected seat is disposed of and you lose your primary race.)
Sewer and water lines are next. They are aren’t as sexy as blacktop, but really do raise a stink when they don’t work right.
